Aftermath
Claude de Marteau was not born an adventurer.
He had always felt the spark, a vivacious feeling that made him restless. He could have used it otherwise, but adventure hit him, and he let himself drift along with it. Just like other members of the Beat Generation, he felt that languor that guided them on the road, toward sublime landscapes.
After his first road trip, he never stopped traveling the world. He sometimes only stopped in some places, sometimes settled for a longer period, always training his eye for beauty. He immersed himself in different cities and countries until he finally settled back in Brussels. He frequently traveled to Thailand which he thought of as his second home. Traveling, especially in Thailand, was probably the only thing that could shape his wild spirit.
